Two gold medals were grabbed by Cambodia, the host country, this morning at the 32nd SEA Games.
The gold medalists are Ms. Magod Morokot Garabidian in Women’s Aquathlon Sprint Distance and Mr. Ly Boramy in Vovinam.
This morning, Triathlon events kicked off in Kep province; while Vovinam event at the Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh.
So far, Cambodia has earned 7 gold medals (one in Jiu-Jitsu, four in Kun Bokator, one in Triathlon, and one Vovinam), five silver and two bronze medals.
Some 25 sports competitions are on today’s programme – Boxing, Football, Kun Khmer, Kun Bokator, Pencak Silat, Sailing, Hockey, Volleyball, Jiu-Jitsu, Athletics, Obstacle Race, Triathlon, Cricket, Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), E-sports, Karate, Soft Tennis, Petanque, Vovinam, Swimming, Mountain Bike, Basketball, Sepak Takraw, and Teqball.
Regional athletes are set to compete in 37 sport with 581 events – 304 for men, 229 for women and 48 mixed – at the SEA Games 2023 held in Cambodia from May 5 to 17.
