Some 79 Percent of Grade 12 Students Get Their Baccalaureate


A total of 106,351 or 79 percent of the high school students who sit for the upper secondary exams on Oct. 8-9, 2024, obtained their baccalaureate, according to a press release of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports made public this morning.

Among the successful students, the source pointed out, 2,216 got grade A; 9,701 grade B; 22,675 grade C; 36,683 grade D; and 35,076 grade E.

The results will be announced this afternoon for Phnom Penh’s and Kandal province’s exam centres, and tomorrow for those in other provinces.

In 2023, the success rate among high school students was 72.98 percent. Of the graduates, 1,673 got grade A; 6,964 grade B; 18,303 grade C; 34,246 grade D; and 37,269 grade E.

The exam is a prerequisite for the high school graduates to pursue their studies at the university level.
