Arrest of man who stole transformers and electric wires


Samut Sakhon, July 5 – Highway police arrested a 44-year-old man who was stealing electric transformers and wires on the side of Phra Ram 2 Road. He initially confessed that he was unemployed and therefore committed the crime, taking them to sell for money.

The Highway Police arrested Mr. Sirichai, 44, after he was involved in a theft of electric transformers and electrical wires on the side of Phra Ram 2 Road. Due to the problem of theft of electric wires and electrical equipment, which resulted in power outages on the roads, many times resulting in accidents that resulted in injuries and deaths, the officers went to inspect until they reached an abandoned area on the side of Phra Ram 2 Road, kilometer 27, Tha Sai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province. They noticed a person using a wrench to pry open an electric transformer that had been removed from an electric pole. They hid and watched until they were certain that the man was stealing property before arresting him and seizing the evidence
to send to the investigation officer at Mueang Samut Sakhon Police Station to proceed with legal action. Initially, the suspect confessed that he was unemployed, so he broke into the electric transformer to sell the equipment inside for money
