Cambodia and Indonesia Explore Opportunities for Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation.


Siem Reap: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, welcomed H.E. Muhaimin Iskandar, Vice President of the Internationale démocrate centriste-Centrist Democrat International (IDC-CDI), in Siem Reap provincial city on Nov. 18, during the IDC-CDI Executive Committee Meeting.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during their meeting, H.E. Muhaimin Iskandar, who also serves as Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), praised the enduring relationship and collaboration between Cambodia and Indonesia. He emphasized the significant potential for the two nations to complement each other, noting the religious harmony in Cambodia and commending the Kingdom for its successful organization of the IDC-CDI Executive Committee Meeting. He highlighted the importance of such alliances in enhancing regional and global influence.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated H.E. Muhaimin Iskandar on
his recent appointment as Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment. He expressed satisfaction with the advancement of Cambodia-Indonesia relations across various domains, including agriculture, trade, people-to-people exchanges, and security and defence. The Prime Minister encouraged continued collaboration between the ministries and institutions of both countries, recognizing the potential for further strengthening and expanding their cooperation.

The Cambodian Premier noted the honour of hosting the IDC-CDI Executive Committee Meeting, viewing it as an opportunity to foster enhanced relations and mutually beneficial cooperation. He also mentioned that in addition to the IDC-CDI meeting, Cambodia will host two other significant events: the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and related meetings, as well as the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP).
