Cambodia, Korea Agree to Boost ICT Skills Cooperation

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have committed to cooperating in training Cambodian workers with information and communication technology (ICT) skills.

H.E. Heng Sour, Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, and visiting H.E. Chang Won Sam, President of KOICA, made the commitment during their meeting here at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra on Mar. 15.

H.E. Heng Sour underlined that capacity building for Cambodian workers will expand quotas for them to work in the Republic of Korea.

The skills will benefit both Cambodia and Korea because Cambodian skilled workers will increase their productivity when working in Korea and then bring the skills and experience back to Cambodia, contributing to the country’s development.

Following on the same day, H.E. Heng Sour signed a memorandum of understanding to extend the labour cooperation with H.E. Choi Moon-Soon, Mayor of Hwacheon district of South Korea’s Gangwon province.
