CDC Delegation Visits CMA CGM Group Headquarters in France.


Marseille: A delegation of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), led by its First Vice President H.E. SUN Chanthol, visited CMA CGM Group, a leading worldwide shipping agency, at its headquarters in Marseille, France on Nov. 4.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Cambodian delegation was introduced to the latest technological system for business operations of the CMA CGM Group. The CMA CGM Group also revealed its interest in Cambodia’s transport infrastructure development, particularly the Funan Techo Canal construction project.

For his part, H.E. SUN Chanthol, also a Deputy Prime Minister, mentioned the high attention of the Royal Government of Cambodia to physical infrastructure development, including the waterway and seaport sectors. He also encouraged the CMA CGM Group to consider the possibility of investment in the transport and logistics sector in addition to its current investment in Cambodia.

The CDC delegation has been on a visit to Europe from Nov. 3 to 13, as part of its ‘kno
ck-on-door’ mission, to further attract more European investors to come and invest in Cambodia.
