According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the approval was granted during the NA’s 3rd session of the 7th legislature, held at the NA Palace. The session was chaired by NA President Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary and saw the participation of 112 lawmakers.
H.E. Prak Sokhonn brings extensive experience in diplomacy to his new role. He has previously held various key positions within the government and served as an ambassador to several countries. Prior to this appointment, he was the deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation from 2016 to 2023.
In related developments, the National Assembly has also ap
proved other cabinet changes. In September, Tourism Minister H.E. Sok Soken was appointed as Minister of Inspection, while Inspection Minister H.E. Huot Hak took over as Minister of Tourism. These adjustments are seen by experts as efforts to improve the efficiency of government institutions.
