Some areas in the Visayas and Mindanao will experience rain showers due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao Tuesday, the weather bureau said. Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region. The weather bureau forecast moderate to at times heavy rains in these areas. “Take precaution against possible flash floods or landslides,” Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said. Luzon will experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. “Isolated rains are still likely, especially in the afternoon or evening,” Castañeda said. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas continue to prevail across the archipelago. No weather disturbance is seen to affect the country, Castañeda said. (PNA)
