JOHOR REGENT DISCUSSES NEW INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS WITH MB, STATE SECRETARY, FINANCE OFFICER

JOHOR BAHRU, Regent of Johor Tunku Mahkota Ismail today granted an audience to Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, State Secretary Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani and State Finance Officer Datuk Mohammed Ridha Abd Kadir to discuss various infrastructure projects for the people in the state.

According to a post on His Royal Highness’ Facebook page, among the matters discussed during the meeting were the proposal to build a new elevated crossing on the Second Link, the project to build a dam and water reservoir along the Sungai Sedili Besar and the Skudai River conservation programme in Kulai and Johor Bahru.

‘Also discussed were the special high-impact projects in Johor, namely the proposed development of the Elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit (E-ART) as part of the public transport system in Iskandar Malaysia and the proposed construction of the East Coast Highway Phase 4 (LPT4) connecting Mersing-Kota Tinggi-Johor Bahru.

‘These projects are in line with the priorities of The Regent of Johor in developing the infr
astructure, new facilities that will improve the living standard of Johoreans and strengthening Johor’s economy,’ the post read.

Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Development) Datuk Ashari Kasnan, State Economic Planning Division Secretary Dr Amirul Haffiz Ariff, Ministry of Finance Treasury secretary-general Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican, Ministry of Finance National Budget Office director Datuk Shahrol Anuwar Sarman; and Ministry of Economy secretary-general Datuk Nor Azmie Diron.
