Russia to Continue Assisting Cambodia TVET


Russia has pledged to continue assisting Cambodia in training the latter’s human resources in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to respond to the skill demands of the country’s economy.

The commitment was made by H.E. Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of Russia to Cambodia, during his meeting with H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, in Phnom Penh on Jan. 10.

H.E. Anatoly Borovik underlined that Russia is ready to provide more scholarships to Cambodian students and trainees on skills demanded by the current labour market.

H.E. Heng Sour thanked the Government of Russia for the commitment and support, stressing that Russia has been contributing significantly to developing Cambodian human resources at different levels.

The two sides agreed to further bolster existing cooperation and looked into other cooperation beneficial for the two nations.
