Thai women’s futsal team beats Indonesia 7-1 in NSDF tournament


Darika Phianphailun scored a hat-trick to lead the Thai women’s futsal team to a 7-1 victory over Indonesia, setting up a final match against Vietnam to decide the champion in the NSDF tournament.

NSDF Women’s Futsal Championship 2024, Match 3 at Terminal 21 Shopping Mall, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand’s national women’s futsal team, ranked 6th in the world, meets Indonesia, ranked 14th in the world.

Just 3 minutes into the game, Thailand took the lead 1-0 when Darika Phianphailun shot with her left foot into the goal. In the 5th minute, Thailand extended their lead to 2-0 when Saengrawee Mee-kham intercepted the ball from an Indonesian player and it went to Jenjira Bubpha who shot with her right foot into the goal.

In the 12th minute, Thailand scored a goal to lead 3-0. Praeploy Huajaiphet shot with her left foot, the ball hit the post before being hit by Nisma Rusdia into her own goal. The first half ended with Thailand women’s futsal leading Indonesia 3-0.

In the second half, in the 23rd minute
, Indonesia scored the first goal to make it 1-3 from Fitri Rosdiana. However, after that, the Thai women scored another 4 goals from Ariya Sae-Ten in the 29th minute, Darika Phianphailun scored 2 goals in the 30th minute and 31st minute before finishing with Nuengruethai Sornhong. The final goal was the Thai women’s futsal team defeating Indonesia 7-1.

In the 4th match, Thailand will meet Vietnam, the 13th ranked team in the world, on September 28 at 6:00 p.m., which will be the deciding game for the championship of this tournament.
