UNIVERSITY STUDENTS GET TRUE PICTURE OF COUNTRY’S SITUATION, DEVELOPMENT THROUGH DIALOGUE SESSION WITH ANWAR

The dialogue session held by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim here today has received a positive response from university students who feel it is a suitable platform to get a true picture of the country’s situation and development.

Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) students who attended the hour-long programme said it would also help create more holistic graduates in the future.

For Information Systems Accounting student Muhammad Iqmal Qamil Mawar, 22, the meeting with Anwar was not merely focused on issues such as academics and student welfare.

“This meeting with the Prime Minister opened the students’ eyes to other opportunities offered to young people and we got a wider perspective,” he told Bernama.

Nurul Shafinah Ain Uttohjama, 23, who is studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Logistics and Transport) said by having such dialogue sessions, the Prime Minister could see and hear for himself the problems faced by students in universities across the country.

“The Prime Minister also gave a lot of useful advice and students need to take heed of them so that they can become more skilled and responsible in the future.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old Nor Namisah Nor Ezan who is a Counseling degree student said that although the session was not in-depth due to time constraints, all the answers given by the Prime Minister were satisfactory.
